JET Optoelectronics Won The 6th Potential Medium Enterprise

After a year of selection by the Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), JET OPTO was awarded the 6th Potential Medium Enterprise by MOEA on Sept. 23 as a priority enterprise to be provided assistance on a nationwide basis. The criteria for the selection are based on the seven key characteristics of Germany's Hidden Champions, including: (1) focused corporate goals, (2) market positioning as a leader, (3) close to and fully understand customers, (4) value orientation as the main demand, (5) emphasis on all-round innovation, (6) confrontation with competitors hand in hand, and (7) deepening the value chain without relying entirely on alliances as well as the ten conditions such as (1) corporate goals, (2) market positioning, (3) leader, (4) customer choice, (5) innovation focus, (6) driving force, (7) competitive strategy, (8) external relations, (9) employee culture, and (10) globalization. Motorcycle safety accessory, Hive BSM, made by JET Opto was awarded the German iF World Design Award 2021

The HIVE BSM has an understated elegance. The dark appearance and neutral design convey the feeling that the HIVE BSM is a reliable and professional product. The shell material is first PC injection molded then further molded by ultrasonic welding technology, making the product fully waterproof. It is affixed to the motorcycle using Velcro, which allows for quick and easy installation or removal. The purpose of the HIVE BSM is to give the rider additional monitoring support to eliminate blindspots.

At present, no mobile phone holder can perfectly match the style of heavy motorcycles. Moreover, the common clamping method of mobile phone holders easily blocks the screen, and the shortcomings are obvious. Inspired by the bodywork of heavy-duty streetcars, JET has designed a more stylish, slim, and dynamic holder that can charge your cellphone while you ride. More and more cellphones have wireless charging capabilities, which is a huge benefit for charging in motorcycles or cars. The wireless charging module can also be used away from your vehicle.

The car dashcam, A16X, made by JET Opto was awarded the German iF World Design Award 2021

The A16X appearance follows a neutral design concept. The subtle curved shape of A16X goes with every car interior design. The modularized double camera design increases users’ safety and ensures a better driving experience. The A16X utilizes a modularized design to let the dash and rear camera be used together or separately according to the driver’s needs. When the two cameras are used together, the dash camera records video outside the car while the rear camera records the car interior. When the two cameras are used separately, the rear camera is assembled with the stand and attached to the rear windshield. It then becomes a DVR with front and rear recording capability.

2018 AMPA Innovation Awards - The Silver Award

In today’s automobile market, more and more cars are equipped with onboard 4G LTE Wi-Fi. EVO rear-seat infotainment system, developed by JET OPTOELECTRONICS CO., LTD., aims to satisfy multiple users’ entertainment needs through physical and wireless connection within the vehicle and to the outside world as multi-tasking, live streaming, and cloud services are becoming the mainstream in the automotive industry.
EVO rear-seat infotainment system includes two 8” WSVGA monitors mounted on the back of the headrests, one of which is the master and the other is the slave. Functions related to connectivity such as USB, SD Card, HDMI/MHL, WI-FI and DLNA are on the master’s side. The slave can access the master’s content via the high-speed serial link protocol. Multicast allows an EVO monitor to stream audio and video to mobile devices. With onboard 4G LTE Wi-Fi, EVO can stream any live content from the internet.
The core hardware of EVO rear-seat infotainment system, a dual-core processor, is automotive grade. It drives two independent HD panels and shares all the IO ports. This design significantly reduces the component cost and runs two monitors independently. In addition, a single, thin high-speed serial link cable handles all communication between two monitors without any audio and video synchronization issues.
EVO rear-seat infotainment system not only satisfies users’ entertainment needs but is also priced competitively. The design allows for room for improvement in the future. EVO is an innovative automotive product that brings JET OPTO into the next era of the global IoV market.

JET Opto developed an Android flip down monitor (model name is AND-F1010 ), which was awarded the 2013 AMPA Innovation Award due to its innovative mechanical design, energy saving property, and safety design. The monitor screen is facing outward instead of inward so that it can double as a dome light. To make it lightweight and energy saving, we used gorilla glass. We used Android to allow passengers to be able to consume web content and use various Android applications.
