Founded in 2010, JET Opto is a Tier 1 supplier focused on automotive electronics, listed under ticker 2255 (TPEx). Its headquarters and R&D centre are in Neihu, Taipei, with production sites in Kaohsiung and Suzhou, China, and offices in Japan and the United States serving customers locally.

The product portfolio currently centres on three main lines: In-Vehicle Entertainment — rear-seat 4K displays, flip-down monitors and wireless casting; Smart Cockpit — iHUD, panoramic displays and cloud navigation; and Driving Safety — dashcams, blind-spot monitoring, TPMS and rear-seat baby monitoring. From optical modules and circuit design to embedded software and mechanical development, every stage is handled by in-house teams and delivered from our own production lines.

The company built its base in the United States and expanded into Japan and Europe: entering the U.S. Big Three supply chain in 2012, passing a Japanese automaker audit in 2014, and joining the supply chain of Europe’s top three automakers in 2015. In 2019 JET Opto became a Tier 1 supplier of rear-seat entertainment systems to Volkswagen Group marques — Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini and Porsche — a relationship that continues today; more recently it has taken a 4K automotive AI imaging solution into European OEM programmes.

R&D is where the long-term investment goes. The Engineering R&D Center covers electronics, software, mechanical design, DQA, product systems and industrial design, and the company continues to build its patent portfolio across Taiwan, China and the United States, deepening its own capability in automotive optoelectronics and sensing.
