1. Management and Protection of Patents

JET Optoelectronics has been deeply rooted in the automotive electronics industry for many years, maintaining a strong understanding of key technological patent trends. Through understanding customer needs, new product development, technical exchanges, incentive systems, educational promotion, and talent training, the company effectively sustains its innovation capabilities.

The company values its intellectual property while respecting the intellectual property rights of others. Patent applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Before proceeding with official application procedures, each patent proposal undergoes an internal review by the patent department and external searches conducted by designated patent law firms to ensure compliance with legal requirements and validity. Additionally, the patent department periodically reviews granted patents to assess their usage and relevance to the company’s products, determining the necessity of continued maintenance.

2. Management and Protection of Trade Secrets

Under the framework of the IATF 16949 quality management system, the company has established a comprehensive engineering R&D management system to properly preserve reports and records from the R&D process of intellectual property. These serve as evidence in cases of intellectual property infringement litigation, safeguarding research achievements.

The company requires employees to sign a confidentiality agreement upon employment as part of its work regulations and employment contracts. Employees are prohibited from disclosing any trade secrets they access during or after their employment. Similarly, confidentiality agreements are signed with clients and suppliers to mutually protect sensitive information.

In compliance with TISAX requirements, the company enforces strict access control measures. Employees are issued access cards with permissions based on their departmental roles. Non-employees must undergo identity registration and be accompanied by a company employee at all times. Additionally, the management department conducts annual email campaigns to promote awareness of confidentiality and strengthen legal compliance, reducing the risk of trade secret leaks.
